Once in a while, the stars do align and a random search for an agent in an unfamiliar area results in the smoothest and most pleasant of experiences.  
 
We live in Northern Cal, and wanted to buy a home in Irvine.  After several phone conversations with agents I found searching on the web, as well as from friend referrals, I did not feel comfortable with any of them.  Either, they were unresponsive, or made me feel as though they thought I was not serious in my home buying intentions.
